The exhibition Ancestors brings together four of Azerbaijan’s leading contemporary artists - Faig Ahmed, Rashad Alakbarov, Orkhan Huseynov, and Farid Rasulov to explore one of humanity’s most profound concepts: the unbroken thread that connects us to those who came before. Every custom we uphold, every story we pass down, and even the features reflected in our faces are shaped by countless generations who lived, dreamed, and created before us. The land we call home bears their memory as both a cradle of life and a resting place quietly preserving the traces of those who have defined who we are today. Through powerful and distinct artistic voices, Ancestors invites visitors on a contemplative journey through the layers of memory, tradition, and cultural heritage that continue to resonate in the present.
