Konstantin Soldatov OUR HOME An immersive audiovisual performance-meditation Maksud Ibrahimbeyov Creativity Centre , Icherisheher, Baku · 35 minutes What if you could listen to a home as you would to a person? Our Home is a journey through the space where Maksud Ibrahimbeyov worked—and, at the same time, into one’s own memory. There is no stage or auditorium: the house’s architecture and interiors become the dramaturgy, sound becomes a guide, and each guest enters an intimate conversation with the place. Through individual headphones, a multilayered score of Baku unfolds: the breath of the Caspian, gusts of the Khazri wind, the cries of gulls, the rustle of fig trees. Gradually, a human presence enters the soundscape - someone returning home. We hear footsteps on Icherisheher’s stone paving, the creak of a staircase, the rustle of manuscripts. The writer’s voice comes alive, while his characters gradually find voices of their own in different languages of the world. Projections, light and video art on phone screens reveal new meanings in familiar objects. The route through the rooms and veranda connects three states: elemental nature, care and the ecology of the soul. Our Home invites us not to observe from a distance, but to listen closely - to the city, to literature, to the fragile coexistence of humanity and nature. Here, home is more than walls. It is a space of mutual responsibility, where memory becomes presence and attention becomes a form of care.
