Discover Baku’s contemporary art scene through intimate encounters with the artists, ideas and practices shaping it.
What happens behind the closed doors of an artist’s studio? Where do ideas begin, and how do they evolve into works of art?
Inside the Artist’s World invites visitors to discover Baku’s contemporary art scene from within, stepping into the personal workspaces of local artists to encounter their practices at close range. From works in progress and distinctive artistic techniques to the ideas, experiences and influences that shape each artist’s vision, the programme offers a rare glimpse into the creative process beyond the finished work.
Led by artist Ramina Saadatkhan, the programme unfolds through open conversations with participating artists, exploring their individual approaches, sources of inspiration, choice of materials and ongoing artistic investigations. Bringing an artist’s perspective to these encounters, Saadatkhan will encourage an open exchange between artists and audiences, revealing the stories, questions and discoveries that inform each creative practice. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions, share perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of the decisions and experiments that bring an artwork to life.
More than a visit to an artist’s studio, Inside the Artist’s World is an invitation to experience art as a living process - to discover the people, ideas and practices shaping Baku’s contemporary art landscape, and to see the city through the eyes of those who create it.
