An Encounter with the Wild

To look is to encounter. To understand is to protect.

Through the Lens presents Azerbaijani wildlife photographer, videographer and explorer Saleh Bakhshiyev, whose work reflects years of exploration across Azerbaijan’s national parks, protected areas and remote landscapes. Through patience and close observation, he captures wildlife in its natural habitat, revealing moments rarely seen by the wider public.

His photographs offer a compelling perspective on Azerbaijan’s biodiversity, documenting the relationship between animals and the ecosystems they inhabit. More than a photographic record, the exhibition invites visitors to discover the country’s natural heritage and reflect on the fragility of the living world and our shared responsibility to protect it.
